We choose Taymode as our affix for a very special reason.
I'd been on Renal Dialysis for nearly 4 years, when I decided I felt ready to put my name down
on the Kidney Transplant list.
Then my Partner Chris offered to donate one of his kidneys to me.
In July 2007 after lot's of tests, the results confirmed we were a perfect match for the Transplant.
On 6th July 2007, we travelled to Guys Hospital in London, where I recieved my new kidney.
Now 2 and a half years on my new kidney (Sidney) is working great and I now have my life back.
The 2 surgeons who performed the Transplant operations were Mr John Taylor and Mr Nizam Mamode.
So we just took half of each of thier surnames together to create 'Taymode'.
So our affix has a special meaning to the whole family and the emotional journey we all had that July.
